Learning Objectives

The Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Operate Vertical Personnel Platform course will equip trainees with basic skills, knowledge and attitudes to operate boom lifts safely via the following modules.

  • CE1: Prepare to carry out vertical personnel platform operations

  • CE2: Carry out vertical personnel platform operations

  • CE3: Conduct post-operation of vertical personnel platforms

Duration:

  • 08:30am to 18:30pm (incl theory and practical)

Languages:

  • English, Mandarin, Bengali, Tamil, Malay

Assumed Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work

  • Ability to listen, speak, read and write the relevant language at proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) Level 3 and above

  • Ability to manipulate numbers at Employability Skills System (ESS) Level 3 and above

  • Be medically fit to work at height

About Galmon Academy

Galmon Academy is a 6,700sqm, two-storey building located in Tuas, It has both outdoor and indoor practical training areas, 11 air-conditioned classrooms as well as a 300pax auditorium, ideal for holding safety talks and forums.
