With working heights up to 48m (156ft) and capacities up to 450kg (1000lbs), boom lifts consists of 4 styles: Articulating Boom, Electric Boom, Towable Boom and Telescopic Boom.
The Boom Lift is also known as a Cherry Picker where it was originally designed for picking cherries high up in a tree with ease.
Articulating Boom Lifts
Often referred to as “knuckle booms”, articulating boom lifts are used for reaching up and over machinery, equipment and other obstacles mounted on floors.

- Drivable at full elevation
- 360 degree rotatable turntable (either direction)
- Raise or lower boom from vertical to below horizontal
- Chassis width provides access to narrow industrial aisle ways & congested work areas
- Forward or backward maneuvering and steering of the machine from work platform
Electric Boom Lifts
Electric boom lifts are used primarily on indoor and slab applications for reaching up and over machinery, equipment and other obstacles mounted on floors.

- Powered by rechargeable batteries
- Drivable at full elevation
- Chassis width provides access to narrow industrial aisle ways & congested work areas
Towable Boom Lifts
Towable boom lifts consist of an articulated boom and turntable mounted on a towable trailer chassis.
Features / Advantages:
- Can be towed behind vehicles with class2 or class3 hitch (ideal for rentals)
- Powered by rechargeable batteries or a onboard gasoline powered generator
- Self-leveling hydraulic outriggers faster and easier set-up on the job
Telescopic Boom Lifts
Telescopic boom lifts also known as straight or stick boom lifts are especially useful for applications that require high reach capability.
Features / Advantages:
- 360 degree rotatable turntable (either direction)
- Raise or lower boom from vertical to below horizontal
- Maneuver and steer in any direction
