Up to 50% Funding When You Purchase a New Aerial Work Platform – Mechanisation Credit (MechC) Fund

What Is It?

The Mechanisation Credit (MechC) scheme helps to defray the cost incurred in technology adoption by companies to improve productivity for their construction projects.

Who is it for?

A contractor, specialist contractor or subcontractor firm incorporated and operating in Singapore will be eligible.

What is it For?

The Mechanisation Credit scheme defrays the cost of technology adoption purchasing or leasing equipment – that improves productivity by at least 20%. The Scheme is targeted at construction firms (especially subcontractors) who are looking to using machines and equipment to improve work processes.

How Much?

Depending on the impact to the project and the productivity improvement, the funding support is as shown below:

Purchase Equipment (New Unit)

  • For Equipment with cost LESS than S$100k - Up to 50% support level, Cap at S$20k
  • For Equipment with cost MORE than $S100k - Up to 20% support level, Cap at S$100k
  • Max grant for each firm shall not be more than S$200K for Purchase.

Rental Equipment

  • For Equipment with cost LESS than S$30k - Up to 50% support level, Cap at S$6k
  • For Equipment with cost MORE than S$30k - Up to 20% support level, Cap at S$30k

Selection Criteria

  • The equipment must be used by the firm or within the project undertaken by the firm in Singapore.
  • Firms will have to justify that the equipment can improve productivity by at least 20%, compared to its current practices for such projects.
  • Max grant for each firm shall not be more than S$50K

How To Apply?

Application forms are now available.

Applicants must submit to BCA (attention to Ms Tan Mui Kheng):

  1. The application form,
  2. The technical brochure of the equipment,
  3. Business profile and name of shareholders (can be taken from Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority).
